Palais Varnhagen

Based on plans designed by globally renowned architect Sir David Chipperfield, Artprojekt created a platform for open-minded, international individuals interested in design and communication. This luxury building’s 48 apartments and three penthouses and is based at a truly unparalleled location in downtown Berlin (Französische Straße). Nearly all of the units had already been sold before the building’s shell was completed.

In a series of large-scale works on display at Palais Varnhagen, Berlin artist  Christian Hoischen explored the amicable relationships between the project’s namesake, Rahel Varnhagen (who managed her famous literary salon just a few doors down around the year 1800), and her distinguished contemporaries.
